At this year’s show, we highlighted our P8 line of micro stepper actuators along with the P8-P and P8-S DC variants. Interest in the stepper configuration was consistent, particularly from teams requiring higher repeatability and improved positional control within compact assemblies.
We also discussed our T20 stepper track actuator platform. Compared to traditional DC track actuators, the stepper version is better suited to applications where precision and extended lifecycle expectations are critical. Several conversations at the booth centered on replacing legacy DC solutions with stepper-based systems to meet tighter performance requirements.
Themes from the Show Floor
A few trends were clear across industries. Designs are becoming smaller while performance expectations continue to increase. Engineers are working within tighter packaging constraints and are looking for motion solutions that do not add unnecessary system complexity.
We spoke with teams in medical device development, robotics, automated test equipment, and compact industrial systems. Many were refining prototypes or revisiting actuator specifications late in the design cycle. Face-to-face discussions allowed us to review real constraints and application details in a way that is difficult to replicate remotely.
Looking Ahead
MD&M West remains a valuable event for understanding where demand in micro motion is heading. Direct feedback from engineers helps inform how we approach future product development and refinement. We appreciate everyone who stopped by Booth 3843 and look forward to continuing those conversations.
