T16-S Series Limit Switched Track Actuators
The T16 series are our most powerful track actuators. If you need a powerful linear motion solution that's ideal for tight spaces, the T16-S is a great choice. The T16-S features internal limit switches that will stop the actuator when it reaches 1mm of the end of stroke. Internal diodes allow the actuator to reverse away from the limit switch. The limit switches are set at the factory and are not adjustable, however, you can install an external limit switch kit to reduce the stroke from the factory setting. T16-S Series Actuators
Our T16-S series limit switched actuators come in a variety of configurations including:
- 3 stroke lengths to choose from: 100mm, 200mm and 300mm
- 3 gearing options for maximum speeds between 46mm/s and 4.8mm/s and maximum forces between 50N (11.2lbs) and 300N (67lbs)
- 12V Input
T16 Mini Track Actuators - Powerful, Compact Linear Motion
Our S series actuators are our simplest devices to use, operating simply by reversing polarity. Apply voltage to the device and it will extend, reverse the polarity and it will retract. This can be accomplished manually with a DPDT (Double-Pole Double-Throw) switch, wirelessly using our wireless linear actuator controller or using an H Bridge circuit. We've compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help you better understand T16-S and how they can benefit your projects.
How can I control S series actuators?
All of our S series actuators are simple to use, 2-wire devices. Switch the polarity on the leads, and the actuator will extend or retract accordingly. You can use T16-S series actuators with any of our compatible switches including our timer relay and remote control kit.
Are the internal limit switches adjustable?
The internal limit switches are not adjustable. Such a design would be impractical on a micro linear actuator. That said, you can install an external limit switch kit. This will allow you to set the stroke length to what is needed to meet your requirements.
Do you make custom actuators?
Yes we do. If your needs can not be met by one of our off the shelf products, we can work with you to develop and custom linear actuator solution. MOQ will depend on the level of customization required.
How can I adjust the speed of my actuator?
Your best option is to select the gear ratio that most closely aligns with your speed requirements. If you need to fine tune the speed of the device further, you have a few options:
- Use a P series actuator and LAC instead. This will allow you to reduce the speed of the actuator to match your requirements.
- Lower the input voltage. Be aware using this method will affect the performance of the actuator as the datasheet specs are based on rated input voltage.
- Use an R series actuator and Arduino board. This will give you some control over actuator speed. Please be aware that we do not offer Arduino support.
